What will be your role?
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to support our growth.
- You are part of the team responsible for the architecture, design, implementation, and verification of the electronic system in our bionic devices and test equipment.
- You design and implement pcb layouts, integrate sensors, actuators drivers and implement new features for bionic devices
- You manage your hardware from initial design to final production
- You participate in the system design together with the other functional teams (mechanical and software engineering).
- Interface responsibility between Electronics/Mechanics and Software/Electronics
- Learn to navigate medical device standards in Electronics specifically 60601
What are your main responsibilities?
- Design, simulate, and prototype electronic circuits and systems for various applications including power supplies, motor drivers, sensors, communication systems, and more.
- Select appropriate components based on performance, efficiency, and reliability requirements.
- Design PCB to ensure optimal layout for power electronic circuits, considering thermal management, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), and signal integrity.
- Identify and resolve issues related to circuit performance, electromagnetic interference (EMI), and other system-level concerns.
- Prepare detailed design documentation, including schematics, bill of materials (BOM), gerber files, design calculations, and test reports.
- Ensure that electronic designs comply with relevant medical standards and regulatory requirements, such as UL, CE, and IEEE standards.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers, firmware engineers, and mechanical engineers to integrate electronics into overall system designs.
- Monitor and manage the stock of components to ensure our production
- Increase and keep the electronic libraries up to date
- Support on the Production department and Quality control
What is your profile?
- Previous experience with motor driver and power electronics design
- Experience with Battery and BMS technology
- Master degree in Electromechanical/Electrical engineering or similar
- 4 to 5 years of work experience
- Fluent in English (French and/or Dutch is a plus)
- Excellent communication skills
- Analytical, problem solving skills, rigorous, autonomous and results oriented
- Creative and an out-of-the-box thinker
- Able and eager to learn and evolve. Proactive mindset and excellent capabilities to spot opportunities to help the business
- Driven and enthusiastic team player, who loves to take the initiative
- Proficiency in Circuit Design and Electronics
- Experience in testing and troubleshooting electronic systems
- Ability to work independently and problem-solving skills
- Proven experience in electronics design, development, and testing, preferably in a product development environment.
- Strong understanding embedded electronics constraints
- Proficiency in simulation tools such as LTspice, or similar.
- Experience with PCB design tools such as Altium Designer
- Experience in circuit design on EPLAN is a plus
- Experience with FPGA is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Knowledge of medical standards and regulations related to electronics design and safety is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment for testing and characterization of electronic systems and components.
- Ready to start as soon as possible

- 30-minute virtual interview with the Chief Technology Officer.
- 60-minute in-person interview with the Chief Technology Officer and a System engineer
- Final assessment of problem-solving and organizational skills.
