Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive HR Manager to oversee all aspects of human resources, from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations, compliance, and HR systems management. This role is critical in ensuring that our growing team is supported, engaged, and aligned with our company’s vision.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and is eager to develop and implement strategic HR initiatives. As the guardian of company culture, you will foster an environment where employees feel valued, empowered, and motivated to contribute to our shared mission.

Additionally, we are looking for someone who is highly agile with computers and has advanced experience with the Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Gmail) and ERP/CRM software such as Odoo. Strong proficiency in HR systems, email management, and spreadsheets is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

Culture & Employee Experience

  • Act as the guardian of the company culture, ensuring that our values are embedded in daily operations, decision-making, and leadership behaviors.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive workplace where employees feel supported and inspired.
  • Develop and implement employee engagement and retention initiatives to maintain a strong, motivated workforce.
  • Organize company-wide events, team-building activities, and initiatives to strengthen company culture.

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing and interviewing to hiring and onboarding.
  • Work closely with department heads to ensure smooth onboarding planning and execution for new hires.
  • Ensure job descriptions are up to date and compliant with all legal requirements.
  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent.

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Maintain and update HR policies, ensuring they align with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Ensure consistent application of HR policies across the organization.
  • Maintain and oversee HR systems (Odoo) and employee records.
  • Conduct performance and salary reviews and implement compensation strategies.

Employee Relations & Development

  • Provide guidance and resolve employee conflicts in a fair and effective manner.
  • Develop and oversee training programs and performance management tools to ensure employees have clear expectations and growth opportunities.
  • Analyze trends in compensation, benefits, and employee engagement, providing insights and recommendations to leadership.
  • Implement employee retention strategies to foster a positive and productive work environment.

HR Systems & Process Optimization

  • Oversee payroll processes, staff benefits administration, and compliance-related reporting.
  • Maintain organizational charts and employee directories.
  • Partner with management to ensure HR goals are aligned with business objectives.
  • Continuously improve HR processes and systems to enhance efficiency and employee experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of HR management experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Gmail) and HR/CRM systems (Odoo preferred).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus).
  • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of organization.

  2. 60-minute in-person interview with leadership and relevant stakeholders.
